Our story

Revive Salon and Spa was born from a heartfelt dream and a vision to uplift and empower beauty professionals in a unique, supportive environment. Founded in 2017 by Myra and Jeremy Salas, Revive started with Myra’s initial business, Wax and Relax—a small but thriving aesthetician spa rooted in her passion for beauty and helping others. Her success and desire to give back to fellow professionals inspired the idea of a hybrid salon, one where independent beauty experts could thrive within their own spaces, supported by a nurturing community.

Located at 209 E. 20th St. in the heart of the Houston Heights historic district, Revive became more than just a place to work—it became a family. Myra and Jeremy’s goal was to create a haven where beauty professionals could rent suites to grow their own businesses while being surrounded by others who encouraged, supported, and celebrated their success. Word spread, and soon the Heights location flourished as professionals recognized the power of building their businesses in a community that valued empowerment and collaboration.

In 2019, a second Revive location was opened in Oak Forest, where eight hairstylists and seven beauty professionals found a space that honored their independence while welcoming them into a shared culture of support and camaraderie. Revive became more than a salon; it became a movement, a place that truly stood out for fostering a culture where individuals uplifted each other and shared in each other’s growth.

In 2024, the Heights location entered a new chapter when Myra and Jeremy entrusted their vision to Nicole Lopez, their salon manager since 2019. As a dedicated professional deeply rooted in Revive’s values, Nicole took on this new journey with the same passion and commitment to maintaining the culture Myra and Jeremy had so lovingly built. With a shared dream of creating a powerful, inclusive community, Myra, Jeremy, and Nicole continue to champion the vision of revolutionizing the beauty industry—one that goes beyond individual success and focuses on the strength of community, empowerment, and heartfelt collaboration.
